About USS Marinette
Built, Christened & Commissioned on the Banks of the Menominee River
USS Marinette LCS 25 is a Freedom-class littoral combat ship of the United States Navy. Sponsored by Jennifer Granholm, she is only the third ship to be built, christened and commissioned in its community namesake - a reflection of our community’s rich shipbuilding heritage and deep patriotism. This ship is more than steel and machinery; it represents the spirit and strength of the Marinette area, and we take great pride in supporting those who serve aboard her.
